FILMING
The Videography side of Double Vision is no exception to quality, we realised that if we wanted to capture the true essence of the journeys displayed, a phone camera simply wouldn’t cut it. The Osmo DJI is what has been chosen to record the videos, and for good reason. The Osmo DJI is a 4K camera on top of a gimble to create both smooth and controlled videos, allowing whoever is recording the scene to really get into the headspace of the person, ie young or elderly.
The filming for Double Vision took place over many months, at different times of the year so that the team could decipher at what point does it represent who its intended for. The slightly dimmer and less busy times of filming were perfect for the elderly representation, and the sunny, vibrant and busy times of filming represented the young very well. We filmed both in the daytime and at nighttime, so we could play around with transitions and further our learning on Adobe After Effects.

Once all the clips had been filmed and the correct takes had been chosen it was time to move into software. Our team used both Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro. Premier Pro was used for any colour correction settings as well as collating and trimming all the video clips together. Following this, After Effects was used for any transitional work, audio editing and final touches like minor effects etc. Through using both together we got the best out of both software’s and saved time in the process.
