DEVELOPMENT
Double Vision, both as a concept and as a physical proposal, has developed significantly since its start date a couple of months ago. In the initial stages, double vision was intended to be used as a vice to represent sound and frequency as a 3D mass in a physical realm. This would have been supported using a Chladni Plate and then realigned using AI software.


From here, the idea got turned into a less ambiguous concept and more physically grounded with it showing two journeys supported by audio software, such as FL Studio and Logic Pro. The idea was as the journey developed the surroundings were represented through music, more specifically simplified jungle with amen breaks. These however did not lend themselves together kindly, and so it was back to the drawing board.





We kept the idea of the journeys and decided to show two similar journeys with different viewpoints, more specifically an elderly individual and a young individual. The audio part of the graphical display would be things such as breathing, heartbeats, ringing, surrounding noise etc. This way of approach allowed our development to be both an interrogation of how they would experience that journey, but also grounded enough that it makes sense throughout.
