ABOUT

What is double vision?

Double Vision is an immersive, interactive art exhibition that explores the contrasts and connections between youth and old age through multimedia storytelling. Videos are projected onto suspended, semi-transparent sheets, with each side displaying a different perspective: one from the eyes of a young person, the other from an elderly individual.

As the projections bleed through the fabric, their light merges in the space between the sheets, creating a liminal zone where the two perspectives overlap. This blending invites viewers to step into the shared space between generations, where memory, experience, and identity blur and converge.

CONCEPT

The Concept for Double Vision is a visual manifestation of two near identical journeys from polar opposite view points. It is Young against old in a sense. Through visual experimentation a resolution of formal display has come to fruition, with both journeys being shone through hung fabrics of varying material and thickness and as the images pass through they bleed and intertwine with one another. The viewer is invited to interact with the display tactically, and experience double vision in a multitude of ways.
